I'm on Bratz's side. He wanted young girls to be happy with beautiful dolls, and there is nothing wrong with that I am glad that Mattel was ordered to pay up. It serves them right.

It's strange how such a big company like Mattel could stoop so low into sueing the bratz. What kind of world do we live in? It's all about money these days. Why can't everyone just get along? (Don't answer that.) I don't think Mattel actually care about the happiness of young girls (or boys)who love bratz. They can't force girls into buying their products. Carter Bryant was just a stupid dumb ass, if you ask me.I don't care how many people DON'T like bratz. I'm just thinking about the people who DO like bratz.

I'm thinking of suing MGA for owning the Bratz dolls as well. They're gross and I'm tired of being subjected to them. I'd love to see MGA turn around and sue the pants off Mattel for copying the design with the My Scene dolls, though. That would be good for a quick "eff you."

Intellectual property laws are insane.
The entire idea of a person producing something while employed at one place (in this case, sketches) that then somehow belong to the company is ridiculous.

That's why I have a clause in my web development and security testing contracts that states that all code is my intellectual property unless otherwise stated, so that I can reuse code, such as a search system, exploit, or anything else, barring obvious things such as custom layouts and whatnot.

That last one doesn't really make sense. Why did Mattel pay damages if they had claim to the original work, given it was decided by the federal jury that Bryant made the designs while an employee of Mattel? And there's a small typo: "...while was working for..."
