I believe freelancing is for the brave and the tough. By embracing your fears, you can make end meets as a freelancer - by having plenty of common sense and saving for the rainy days. Ah, they say that with freedom comes responsibilities. We can't have the best of everything but I'm definitely happy doing work at my own time, without being confined to a small square space. Of course not - that's why if you only look at the hourly pay, freelancers seem to earn more. People in my field, working for "the man" would looks at my rates online and think I'm making it big. Nope, just fewer hours of actual paid work. Nobody pays me to manage or rest, so the rate has to make up for it. Yes, the income is unpredictable, but that's what budgeting & saving is for.
